It’s the season for proposals
Every year I get a a dozen or so Grooms-to-be asking for help to pop the question to their Girlfriends. It’s always so exciting since they want to make sure it’s memorable and unique, I’ve had the usual beach proposals to helicopter rides over Catalina island to the surprise dinner with all of their loved ones present. I always make sure we have it their proposal documented by having a videographer present because it’s the first step in their planning a beautiful weddings and many of the Brides-to-be are in shock that they miss the touching speech he spent days and event months preparing to ask her like one Bride told me, “I saw his mouth moving but I couldn’t hear anything with my screaming YES,YES,YES!” So she was very surprised and thankful that I was having it taped for her to share later with loved ones.
Here are some ideas:
-Going back to where you had your first date, first kiss, the place you knew you loved her
-Somewhere you have never been to and always talked about going
-A romantic gondola ride
-Treasure hunt
-Run an ad in the newspaper asking her to Marry You
-More techy savvy: Create a website with the journey of your love via pictures on the last picture you are on your knee holding a sign asking her to spend the rest of her life with you
-Run her a romantic bubble bath with champagne, rose pedals, candles and romantic music
-If you are more outdoorsy type of a couple: Take her on a hike and pop the question at the top of the mountain where there will be a picnic waiting for you both
-You both like riding? Take you motorcycle and your girl out riding along a beautiful scenery
-Is it snowing? Write “Will You Marry Me” in rose pedals or pine cones.
We have many other ideas, if you are a Groom-to-be, contact me and let me help you plan that special moment with you.
Best of luck,
Gina
